She was born December 13, 1905 in Zanesville, OH the daughter of late James H. and Emily Claren (O'Bannon) Timmons. Emily graduated from Grand Rapids Junior College and Ward Belmont in Nashville, Tennessee. Before her marriage, Emily worked as a secretary at Westminster Presbyterian Church. After marriage, she and Ken eventually moved to Kalamazoo. In the 50's-60's she worked for Dr. William Scott in Kalamazoo. After their retirement, she and Ken moved to Venice, FL where they resided a number of years. After Ken's death, she moved to Friendship Village in Kalamazoo. She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Kalamazoo. On November 9, 1929 in Grand Rapids, MI, Emily was united in marriage to J. Kenneth Wykkel who preceded her in death in 1982. She was also preceded in death by a brother, James R. Timmons; two sisters, Ann Himebaugh and Betty Hawley. Surviving are a! daughter, Sally Wykkel of San Francisco, CA; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held Monday, March 22, 2010, 11 AM at the Cascade Township Cemetery, Cascade, Michigan. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Paw Paw or the Friends Fund at Friendship Village, Kalamazoo. Arrangements are by the ADAMS Funeral Home, Paw Paw.
