He served in the US Army Air Corps and following WW II worked at KVP in Parchment until retirement. On September 20, 1947 he married and is survived by Hilda ZIOLKOWSKI. He is also survived by daughters, Beverly (Fred) CHENEY, Leslie RAWLINGS, Sydney HAMILTON, son, Patrick (Sherry) WYKSTRA; granddaughter, Amanda (Shawn) WILHOLT; great-granddaughter, Madison; and sisters, Ethl [sic] SYSTMA and Violet LEEP. He was preceded in death by his youngest daughter, Antoinette; 5 brothers and a sister. He was active in the Methodist church and served his community in the public schools. Visitation Wednesday, October 18, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Services will be held Thursday at 12:30 p.m. at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., 343-1508. Pastor Suzanne Kornowski of the Oakwood United Methodist ! Church officiating. Interment at Fort Custer National Cemetery with full military honors.
