Of Kalamazoo Passed away Saturday, May 17, 2008. She was born April 11, 1922 in Battle Creek, one of four daughters born to William and Harriet (Tait) Judd and had lived in Kalamazoo for many years. Billie was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and was employed by Western Michigan University for over 25 years, where she was an Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Graduate Studies. On June 23, 1950, she was married to James Russell Donoghue, who preceded her in death on March 26, 1985. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Jane Leisenring and Bea Lasher. Billie is survived by her children, Carol (Ray) Frye of Ann Arbor, Susan O'Donoghue (Earl Grabowski) of Albuquerque, NM, and Stephen (Debi) Donoghue of St. Joseph, MI; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Leisenring of Battle Creek; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. with! Pastor Louis Grother officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Custer National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8 PM.
