Helen was born in Richland on November 29, 1921, the daughter of Frank and Lena Sonnevil. Helen was a lifelong resident of the Richland area, where her family farmed for many years. She loved the outdoors. Helen was a long time employee of Kalamazoo Ophthalmology. Helen is survived by sons, Robert and Leighton Kirby; two grandchildren; three great- grandchildren, her former husband George Kirby, and several nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ray and Roy Sonnevil, and her husband Ray Morris. A private family gathering will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society will be appreciated. Arrangements by Williams-Gores Funeral Home, Delton. Published in the Kalamazoo Gazette on 5/11/2008.
