She was born on July 8, 1919 in the Netherlands, to Rijk and Cornelia (Visser) Vander Vos. Trynea lived in Montana for nine years before moving to Kalamazoo in 1937. She was married to Marinus Yzenbaard on Nov. 28, 1946. Trynea was a member of the Grace Christian Reformed Church and active with the Dorcus Society. She was preceded in death by Marinus in 1990; a grandson, Eric Yzenbaard and a son-in-law, Ken Back. Trynea is survived by four children, Karen (Dr. Ken) Kobes of Battle Creek, Linda (Fred) Miller of Kalamazoo, Norma Back of Sheboygan, WI and Dr. Rich (Jan) Yzenbaard of Ramah, NM; six grandchildren, Marcus (Cherie) Lynch, Dr. Michelle Lynch, Julie (Dave) Thuene, Jana Back, Jon Back and Joshua Yzenbaard; two great-grandsons, Noah and Jonah Lynch; three sisters, Maria Ickler, Hattie Dyk and Coba Kamerman; two brothers, Herman and Henry Vander Vos; and many nieces and nephe! ws. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. A service to remember and celebrate Trynea's life will be held 11 AM Thursday at Grace Christian Reformed Church, 1724 Whites Rd., with the Rev. Dr. Harry Arnold, officiating. Private interment in Mount Ever-Rest Cemetery North will follow services.
