She was born June 29, 1926 to Earl J. and Lenore M. (Butcher) Srackangast of Galesburg, MI. She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1944 and went on to work for Upjohn before marrying James Bowers on September 24, 1954. They loved spending time with their family, Brent Bowers, son, of Nashville, TN, Tim (Karen) Bowers, son, of Augusta, MI, Amy (Brian) Treat, daughter, of Augusta, MI, Amanda (Cole) Nuyen, granddaughter, of Kalamazoo, MI and Heather Bowers, granddaughter, of Augusta, MI. Don't measure time in years or months, not even in mere days. Use Summer, Winter, Springtime, measure time in lovely ways. To a leaf afloat in a flowering spring, time means not so much. But the beauty it reflects there, is a time for us to clutch. Some never measure time this way, their lives slip on away. They never see the leaves unfold, see beauty in spring days.
