Rudolph, "Rudy" as most people knew him, was born July 22, 1920 in Chicago, the son of Reinert and Mary (Donoghue) Reinertson, both of whom preceded him in passing. Besides his parents, Rudy was preceded in passing by his four siblings, Art Reinertson, Marge Keeler, Reinert Reinertson, Jr. and Gabe Reinertson. Rudy is a graduate of Lawrence High School. From there, he worked at Johnson Control of Chicago, where he retired after many years of service. Outside of the workplace, Rudy was known to enjoy roaming the outdoors, tending to his garden, traveling, playing cards and square dancing. Rudy was extremely liked by all who knew him. Rudy married the former Marian Dell on December 5, 1942. She survives, along with two daughters, Susan (David) Davis of Seattle, Washington and Sandra (Brad) Hanson of Vicksburg. He is also survived by three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. As to Rudy's wishes, cremation! has taken place and a private family memorial service will take place at a later date in Hill Cemetery, Lawrence. In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorials in Rudy's name be made to the Vicksburg United Methodist Church.
