Bea was born July 5, 1913 in Howell, MI, the daughter of Bernice and Irwin Lounsbery. Her family moved to Kalamazoo and she attended Kalamazoo schools. Bea graduated from Kalamazoo Central in 1931 and was enrolled at Western Michigan Teachers College, until she met and married Martin Anderson in 1933. She and Marty lived in Kalamazoo until 1964 when they moved to Hobe Sound, FL. Bea remained active line dancing and playing golf into her 80's. In recent years her health had failed, but she always enjoyed visiting friends and relatives, and especially seeing her great-grandchildren. Surviving Beatrice are two sons and spouses, Ronald (Barbara) Anderson of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Dale (Kathleen) Anderson of Sebastian, FL and Delton, MI; five grandchildren, Kevin Anderson, Michael (Cindy) Anderson and Stacy Anderson, all of the Sacramento, CA area, April (Paul) Hoeberling of Del! ton and Melanie (Mike) McNamara of Holt, MI; seven great- grandchildren, Joanna, Ryan, Eric and Claire Hoeberling, Michael, Noah and Emily McNamara; two sisters, Jean Jackson of North Carolina, formerly of Kalamazoo and Janice (Arthur) Stippler of Indiana; sister-in-law, Dorothy Lounsbery of Mattawan, MI. Also surviving are numerous nephews and nieces. Preceding Beatrice in passing was her husband, Martin in 1972; sister, Lylis Bovee and brother, Bud Lounsbery. Private family services will be held at a later date and there will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan or a charity of one's choice.
