"Kate" Of 1408 Woodrow Dr. Died Monday, May 19, 2008 at Sanctuary at the Shore Nursing Home in Grand Haven. She was born April 21, 1918 in Kalamazoo, to the late Forest and Lena (Wesler) Wood. Kate was united in marriage to Walter N. Leonard on July 22, 1939 , who preceded her in death on October 13, 1994. She was also preceded in death by a son, Dennis N. Leonard, in 1993 and a brother, Wesley Wood. Surviving Kate are a son, Bill (Marcia) Leonard of Grand Haven; daughter-in-law, Carol Leonard of Portage; and brother Forest Wood of Florida. She is also survived by grandchildren, Rick (Michele), Amy (Brett), Julie (Monti), Lisa (Chris), Matt and Katie; great- grandchildren, Rebecca, Erick, Morgan, Megan, Jayden; niece and nephews. There will be no visitation. Private family services will be held at the Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S.
