He was born October 13, 1926 in Marshall, MO, one of nine children to Dallas and Norean (Tudor) Gorden. Bill was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. serving during World War II. He was employed by the United States Post Office for 26 years, until his retirement in 1981. Bill was a member of Comstock Church of Christ, Veterans of Foreign War Post #6252 and Disabled American Veterans Buck Crosby Chapter #6. He was also an avid fan of Western Michigan University Basketball. On October 4, 1958, he was united in marriage to Jule P. (Pasch) O'Brien, who survives. Also surviving are his daughter, Ann (Robert) Campbell of Kalamazoo; two step-children, Ann Lown of MN, and Kay (Charles) Holmes of MI; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother; three sisters; several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are his parents; two brothers and two sisters. Cremation has taken place a! nd there will be no public visitation or services.
