Ronald was born in Grand Rapids, MI on March 8, 1954 to Roy Thorn (deceased) and Doris (McClure) Thorn. He is survived by his children, Nicholas Betz-Thorn & Amanda Thorn; Stepson, Aaron Buck; his partner in life and sometimes mischief, Caroline "Cary" Betz; sister, Terri Lynn VanderMolen; mother, Dorie Carpenter; ex-wife, Dawn Buitendyk; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Also missing him is Mathilda, the Beagle. Family will receive friends Monday, April 28, 2008 from 2 until 2:45 PM at REDMOND Funeral Home 4100 S. Westnedge-343-6156 A graveside service will immediately follow at 3:00 PM at Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Loaves and Fishes.
