Of Scotts Mildred passed away early Sunday morning, May 18, 2008 at Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence in Battle Creek. She was born June 29, 1926 in Breedsville, MI, one of six children to Fredrick and Margaret (Dumpke) Kreger. Mildred was employed by J.C. Penny department stores for over 20 years, until her retirement in 1988. On November 10, 1945, she was united in marriage to Robert William Nicholson in Climax, who preceded her in death on. Also preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers; two sisters and one great-grandchild, Sarah Ennamany. Surviving are two sons, Robert Nicholson of Scotts and Brent (Becky) Nicholson of Climax; three grandchildren, Mike (Christine) Nicholson of Kalamazoo, Heather (Todd) Keagle of Bedford and Aaron Nicholson of Kalamazoo; three great-grandchildren, Whitney Nicholson, Jenna Ennamany and Jaden Keagle; one sister, Helen Lewis of Silver Lake; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services for Mildred will be at 11 AM on Friday a! t the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Climax Chapel, 205 E. Maple Street, with Rev. James Dyke, officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Home Cemetery, Climax. Friends may visit with the family from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
