Sandra is the daughter of the late Wilbur and Lillian Hoffman. She retired from Consumers Power in 1998. Sandra loved to sew, bake, bowl, golf and enjoyed spending time with family and friends at Sandy Pines for many years. Her husband John "Bill" Tolhurst to whom she married in 1954, preceded her in death in 2002. A brother, Earl Hoffman also preceded her in death. Sandra is survived by her four daughters, Julie Brown, Kathy (Dale) Potter, Jean (Chuck) Bickings and Laura (Tom) Bean all of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, Kerri (Damon) Kahlmorgan, Chelsea Brown, Kendra Bickings and John Bickings; great-granddaughter, Myriah Kahlmorgan; great-grandson, Lucas Kahlmorgan, sister-in-law, Evelyn Hoffman; brother-in-law, Charles (Loretta) Tolhurst; sister-in-law, Mary E. Powell and several nieces and nephews. Friends and family will be received on Friday, May 16, 2008 from 6-8 PM at PARCHMENT-REDMOND Funeral Home 2300 East G Ave- 349-7735 where Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Ken Smeader officiating. Interment will be in East Cooper Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Kairos Dwelling, Borgess VNA & Hospice or Kalamazoo Missionary Church.
