Mrs. WEENER was born July 23, 1904, in the Netherlands, the daughter of Henry and Grace (KUIPER) SCHIPPER and had been a resident of this community since 1905. She was a member of Third Reformed Church and the Dorcas Society. She owned and operated with her sister-in-law, Sadie SCHIPPER, the L.C. Weener Dry Goods Store until 1960. She was preceded in death by her husband Egbert on July 7, 1982, and by two brothers, Henry and Ebo SCHIPPER. Surviving are two daughters, Henrietta and Dr. Howard BRUGGERS, New Orleans, La., Alyce and Glenn OSBORN of Kalamazoo; five grandchidlren, Kristy and Bo THOMPSON, Reeves, La., Karen and Mark ODOM, New Orleans, La., Dr. Barry and Linda BRUGGERS, Cary, N.C., Sherry OSBORN, Kalamazoo; four great-grandchildren; one brother and three sisters, William SCHIPPER, Mrs. Grace LOVELESS, Mrs. Lucy KOSTER, and Mrs. Jennie SCHREUD! ER, all of Kalamazoo; several nieces and nephews.
