Pettis Veteran Memorial Hospital in Loma Linda, CA. He was born May 15, 1941 in Kalamazoo, MI, the son of Jerniece LEDBETTER and George ANDERSON. He attended and graduated from State High of Kalamazoo, MI. He later accepted Christ at an early age at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, and later moved his membership to Galilee Baptist Church. He united in marriage to Dorothy THOMPSON, and out of that marriage were born three sons. His family later moved to California, where they attended Holy Missionary Baptist Church. Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Daniel and Edna Lou GARDNER; one uncle, Maybry GARDNER; and two aunts, Carsella EWING and Alma LIGION. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Dorothy GARDNER of Inkster, MI; his three sons, Joseph (Shirley), Jeremiah Jr. and Daniel Gardner; all of Californ! ia; his parents, Jereniece [sic] LEDBETTER and George ANDERSON, both of Kalamazoo, MI; a god-son, Dino Veldia; seven brothers, Randy LEDBETTER of Lansing, MI, George ANDERSON Jr., Victor ANDERSON, Leonard ANDERSON, Henry ANDERSON, Dewayne ANDERSON, and Melvin ANDERSON, all of Kalamazoo, MI; seven sisters, Olivia (Issac) KING, Regina LEDBETTER, Beverly (Reginald) STREETER, Lori (Lenzy) BELL, Patricia BAKER, Donna BAKER, and Theresa ANDERSON, all of Kalamazoo, MI; four aunts, Juanita FORD, Olivia (Nash) NEALLY, Mary Jane GARDNER, and Reva GOODWIN; three uncles, Evish GARDNER, Hessidee (Tiffany) GARDNER, and Floyd (Betty) GARDNER; two grand-aunts, Sarah ADAMS and Carlene JOHNSON; one great-uncle, Mabry JOHNSON, all of Kalamazoo, MI; 10 grandchildren; 8 nieces, 4 nephews, a special friend, Leslie Baumann; Jack, Frank and Vincent of California; also a host of other relatives, cousins and friends. Services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday with a 12 Noon Family Hour at Galilee Baptis! t Church, Pastor J. Louis Felton officiating.
