Suzanne was born on April 13, 1930 in Port Huron, MI and was the daughter of Franklin and Eleanor (Cady) Mugavero. She was a member of the Gull Lake Area Community Church of Richland and a member of the Ladies of the Lake. Suzanne enjoyed gardening, playing a round of golf and being on the Water. On December 23, 1970 in Jackson, MI, she was united in marriage to William D. "Bill" Herman and he survives. Also surviving are her five daughters, Karen K. (Dr. William) Hazel of Pocatello, ID, Rebecca S. Newkirk of Stowe, VT, Amy M. (Richard) Gilbert of Boulder Creek, CA, Sharon (Dave) Dunigan and Susan Pelton-both of Jackson, MI; a son, Robert J. Newkirk of Boulder Creek, CA; her son-in-law, Ed McMullin of Kalamazoo; 12 grandchildren; her sister, Meredith (Joe) Schmit of Port Huron, MI and her brother, Burt (Kari) Mugavero of Denver, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Lori Ann McMullin on November 12, 2006. At the request of the family, the memorial service to celebrate Suzanne's life will be held on Tuesday, July 1st at Noon at the Gull Lake Area Community Church, 9292 East CD Avenue, Richland, with the Rev. Todd TerAvest, Pastor, officiating. There will be no visitation. Final interment will be in Yorkville Cemetery, Ross Township. In lieu of ! flowers, memorial contributions in Suzanne's honor may be made to the West Michigan Cancer Center, 200 N. Park Street, Kalamazoo, MI, 49007 or to Rose Arbor Hospice, 5473 Croyden Avenue, Kalamazoo, MI, 49009. The Farley-Estes & Dowdle Richland Chapel (269-692-6022) is in charge of all the arrangements.
