Dorothy was born November 23, 1925 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Byron and Charlotte E. (Greenman) Odell. She graduated from Fordson High School in Dearborn, Michigan and on February 9, 1946 married Robert L. Taylor, who preceded her in death on October 5, 2002. In addition to being the most wonderful mother any child or grandchild could have had, she retired from Upjohn and also was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of foreign wars. Dorothy is survived by three sons, James and Sally (Sarah) Taylor of Reed City, Don Taylor and Steve Busboom of Kalamazoo, Joseph (Teresa) Taylor of Kalamazoo; a daughter, Tammy (Rodney) Cornwell of Scott; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, June K. Taylor of Kalamazoo. At her request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 1PM on Monday, July 7, 2008 at the Chapel at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Internment will also be at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. ! Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
