ROBINSON - Of Kalamazoo, MI, went to be with his Savior, Wednesday, November 19, 1997 following a lengthy illness. Mr. ROBINSON was born July 3, 1919 in Grand Rapids, MI, the son of Leo C. and Alta (WEST) ROBINSON, and has been a resident of Kalamazoo for the past 75 years. He served in the U.S. Army during W.W. II and prior to his retirement was associated with Bishop Distributing in Grand Rapids as a salesman and later Vice-President. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Kalamazoo. On December 31, 1939, he was united in marriage to Arlene DENAWAY, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Sue and King WHITE of Kalamazoo; son, Richard and Nancy ROBINSON of Grand Rapids; 4 grandchildren, Kristine and Jon NISPER of Tucson, AZ, Ronald ROBINSON of Grand Rapids, Shawn and Paul TYLER and Jennifer WHITE of Kalamazoo; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Anne NISPER; 3 sisters, Doris HARVEY, Avis and Richard KEENE and Eileen and Garth BADEN, all ! of Kalamazoo; brother, Chester and Shirley ROBINSON of Winsbourgh (sic), TX; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. In accordance with his sister. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 1:30 o'clock Friday at the First United Methodist Church of Kalamazoo, 212 S. Park St., with Rev. Mr. Keith Treman officiating. Private inurnment will be held at Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to V.N.A. Hospice of S. W. Michigan, the Memorial Fund at First United Methodist Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
