Age 81 Of Galesburg, MI Died on Saturday evening, June 28, 2008, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Polly was born on June 21, 1927 in American Falls, ID and was the daughter of Harvey and Candace (Adams) Beatty. She was a 1945 graduate of Augusta High School. Polly was instrumental and a driving force for the Augusta Schools yearly reunion for over 20 years. She enjoyed league bowling in her day and playing a round of golf. The past few years, crossword puzzles were her pastime. Polly's family was her pride and joy, especially her grandchildren. Polly is survived by her husband of many years, Kenneth E. "Ken" Freeland. Also surviving are her three daughters, Candace R. (William) Young of Green Springs, OH, Rebecca S. (Andy) Zoll of Bellville, OH and Stacey J. (Tim) Clancy of Richland, MI; her son, Kenneth E. "Chip" Freeland of Galesburg; twelve, beloved grandchildren, Shana and Darcy Young, Jason Payne, Andy and Jenny Zoll, Colin, Kenzie, Rory and Courtney Clancy and Sara Freeland; by three great-grandchildren, Cody Payne, Jordyn and Drew Zoll; her three sisters, Priscilla Carr of Albuquerque, NM, Jean McNeal of West Unity, OH and Lynda (Don) Piotrowicz of Lansing, MI; her brother, Harvey "Chuck" Beatty of Augusta, MI; several nieces and nephews; a dear and lifelong friend, Marva Simpson of Kalamazoo, MI and a close friend, Bette Bracey of Battle Creek, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Joan Beatty. At the request of the family, the memorial service to celebrate Polly's life will be held on Saturday, July 12th at 10:00 AM at the FARLEY-ESTES & DOWDLE Augusta Chapel 307 N. Webster Street 269-731-4212 with the Rev. Erica L. Parkinson, Associate Pastor of the Richland Presbyterian Church, officiating. Final interment will be in Prairie Home Cemetery, Richland, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Polly's honor may be made to the McKay Memorial Library, 105 S. Webster Street, Augusta, MI, 49012.
