She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Shannon and son, Larry. She is survived by her nine children, Mary (Billy) Perry, Percy Shannon, Shirley (Sam) Bryant, Willie Shannon, Margie Coleman, James (Carol) Shannon, Eleanor (Juan) Jones, Angela Shannon and Gregory Shannon. She also leaves to mourn four sisters, three brothers, 31 grandchildren and nine great-grand-children. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM on Wednesday, June 25th at Gillespie-Moody Memorial Chapel, 1865 Eastern Ave. SE, Grand Rapids. In Kalamazoo, family will receive friends Friday, June 27th from 6 to 8 PM at Whitley Memorial Funeral Home, 330 North Westnedge Ave. Final funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 28th at 2:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 7415 Oakland Dr., Portage.
