Died Friday morning, July 19, 1997. Mr. SMITH was born June 5, 1944 in Kalamazoo, the son of Warren and Joyce (GOLDSMITH) SMITH. He was a retired truck driver and was an avid golfer and boater. He was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Barb SMITH. Also preceded in death by his father, who was killed in action as a Marine during W.W. II. Surviving are two daughters and their husbands, Tina and Paul DOFFING of Holland and Kimberly and Dan BUDZYN of Mattawan; seven grandchildren, Nicky, Kayla, Jeff, Troy, Kelsey, Erik and Jeremy; parents, Kenneth and Joyce BAILEY of Fulton; one brother, Mark and Jackie BAILEY of Fulton; several aunts, uncles, one niece and two nephews. There will be no public visitation. Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Hoag-Switzer Funeral Home, 145 W. Battle Creek St., Galesburg, Pastor Dave Mackaluso officiating. Interment Boughton Cemetery, Scotts. Memorials may be made to the grandchildre! n's education.
