Mrs. KLOK was born Jan 29, 1921 in Muskegon, Mich., daughter of Melvin and Marie AHLSTROM and was a resident here since 1942. She was a graduate of Western Michigan University. She was a high school teacher and most recently was a librarian with the Plainwell Community Schools. Mrs. KLOK was a member of the Michigan Librarians, American Association of University Women and the Women of the Moose. Surviving are her husband, Lawrence; one daughter, Mrs. Anna Marie HOUSE of Nashville, Tenn.; one sister, Mrs. Stewart (Laurine) BEEKMAN of Twin Lake, Mich; one granddaughter, Melissa Jane; her father, Mr. Melvin AHLSTROM of Grand Rapids; several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held Saturday at 1 o'clock at Langeland Chapel, 622 S. Burdick, Rev. Charles Anderson, of the Covenant Church, officiating. Interment in Riverside Cemetery. (COLE) NEAL. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident, and was employed with James River for 43 years, retiring in 1979. He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, Delora; 3 brothers and 4 sisters. He is survived by 5 children, Stanley "Buck" (Sally) NEAL of Allegan, Dolores (Donald) COOK of Kalamazoo, Eileen (Marshall) GRAHAM of Delton, Diana (James) STRATTON of Kalamazoo, and Phyllis (Richard)GARRETT of Lowell; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Prior to his retirement he was employed with the Parchment School System as a custodian in Northwood School and prior to that he was self-employed as a celery farmer. I can no longer find that web link on their site, and I tried emailing the library but got no response. Does anyone know what happened to it, or if it's available at another web site?
