I have two sisters that I would like to learn where they are buried: Adelia Evelyn Hudson born 1857 in MN died 1 March 1899 in Kalamazoo Asylum I think of TB Was married to an Elmer Lawyer Woods 25 Sept 1883 in Battle Creek....two daughters Abbie and Ruby. Haven't been able to date to find where Adelia is buried. Had a sister: Eliza P. Hudson born 1850 probably New York Died 8 Aug 1879 in a houseboat fire on Lake Goguac near Battle Creek Husband, Jas G. Cleveland-married 20 Feb 1872 in Battle Creek...he was the boat captain. They had 4 children...the 2 youngest died in the fire with Eliza. Haven't been able to find where Eliza and children buried..Charles and Lucy. Sisters parents were Charles D. Hudson 1824 NY - 1866? MN and Sophronia T. Stewart 1822-1902 in MN. This was a tragic family....Sophronia died in a mental hospital in MN....as a widow but haven't been able to find where Charles is buried. The family was living in Oronoco, Olmsted, MN when Sophronia was admitted....so sad Hope that you can help with your vast resources. Thank you so much. SCHABERG, Kalamazoo, MI, Died Saturday morning, June 14, 1997. Mr. SCHABERG was born July 10, 1914 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, a son of Henry and Anna (VADERMAAS) SCHABERG. He was a graduate of Wisconsin School of Banking. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident, and was employed with First National Bank for 27 years, retiring in 1976 as Senior Vice President. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Michigan National Guard, S.C.O.R.E., Kalamazoo Rotary Club, Park Club, and Hospice of Greater Kalamazoo, where he was a founding member. He served on the City Planning Commission, Oakwood School Board, and initiated HUD funding and construction of Patwood Apartments through area churches and organizations. He enjoyed stained glass art, antique collecting, furniture refinishing, oil painting, and reading. ON October 25, 1935, he was united in marriage to Carol M. (HOLMES) SCHABERG, who survives. Also surviving are 2 sons, Tom (Gerry) SCHABERG o! f Portage, and David (Annette) SCHABERG of Green Lake, WI; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Fred J. and Eleanor MODDERMAN of Kalamazoo; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Neal and Ruth WALRAVEN of California; a sister-in-law, Katherine WALRAVEN of Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews, including Mary Lou and Robert STOKES of Lexington, MI, Linda MISSIAS, Bonnie and James STEWART, all of Kalamazoo; great nieces and nephews, Matthew MISSI! AS, James STEWART, and Kelise STEWART, all of Kalamazoo, Stephen and Stephanie STOKES, of Lexington, MI; several cousins. Services will be held at 3:30, Wednesday from the Third Christian Reformed Church, 2400 Winchell Ave., with her Pastor, Revered Mr. William Buursma officiating. Interment at Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Friends may call at: Langeland Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick this evening from 7 to 9. WALKER, 3256 N. 26th At., Passed away Saturday evening, Jan. 4, 1986. Mr. WALKER was born April 15, 1904, in Grand Rapids, MI, the son of Hubert and Susanna WALKER and had been a resident here most of his life. Before his retirement, he was employed by Consumers Power Co. for over 40 years. His wife, Elberta passed away in 1982. Surviving are one son and one daughter, Henry D. WALKER of Kalamazoo and Mary Jane LAUER of Galesburg, a stepson, Clarence TAYLOR of Kalamazoo; 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Jessie MCCLENDON of three Rivers, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Alfred, Fred, Hurley and Earl Walker. Services will be held Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock at the Langeland Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick with the Rev. Mr. James Lester of North Park Reformed Church, officiating. Interment in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery.
