She was born March 11, 1918 in Crystal Valley, MI, one of five children to Ira and Mabel (Ruggles) Fuller. Mrs. Ames was employed by Western Michigan University as the secretary to the registrar for 14 years. She was a member of Westwood United Methodist Church for nearly 50 years and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. On February 11, 1939, she was united in marriage to Kermit Ames, who preceded her in death on May 15, 2007. Also preceding her in death are her parents; two brothers, Elmer and Archie Fuller; and two sisters, Mary Cargill and Ida Bell Hardy. She was employed by Sears, Roebuck and Co. in Lansing for 35 years, until her retirement. While living in Lansing, she attended Penway Church of God. In 1967, she was married to Raymond Hart. After her retirement, they then moved to Pentwater, where Imogene resided for about 15 years, before moving to Kalamazoo. She was presently a member of Westwood Church of God in Kalamazoo. Surviving are one brother, Maurice (Sherrie) Bottom of Raytown, MO; three nieces, D'Anne (Dick Brown) Nightingale, Lynette (Keith) Bailey and Cheryl (Richard) Jordan; one nephew, Mark (Kathy) Nightingale; and five grandnieces and nephews. She was born November 23, 1918 in Martinsburg, WV, the daughter of Louis Robert Voris and Addie Sites Voris. She grew up and graduated from high school in Hagerstown, MD. She received a bachelors degree in chemistry from Randolf Macon Woman's College (VA) in 1940 and a masters degree in chemistry from Mount Holyoke College (MA) in 1942. She worked as a chemist at the Celanese Corporation, first in a laboratory in Maryland for five years and then in a research laboratory as a microanalytical chemist in New Jersey for three years. She married Lyman C. Aldrich, May 14, 1950, in Hagerstown, MD and moved to Covington, VA with her husband. There she worked at Industrial Rayon Corporation for three years. She subsequently lived several places with her husband and two children, moving to Kalamazoo, MI in 1973. After 29 years she and her husband moved to Lawrence in 2002. She is survived by! her husband, Lyman; two children, Jane V. Aldrich, Lawrence, and Lyman (Skip) C. Aldrich Jr., West Chester, PA; daughter-in-law, Roberta H. Aldrich and three grandchildren, Christopher, Stephanie and Jeffrey Aldrich, West Chester, PA. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert S. Voris. During WWII, he served with the U.S. Navy as a radio technician. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and owned Triestram Appliance Store for 45 years before his retirement. In 1939, he received a Bachelors Degree of Science from Western Michigan University. He was a member of the Kalamazoo Country Club for 40 years, Kalamazoo Downtown Lions Club for 50 years, and attended Zion Lutheran Church. He also was a Past President of the Kalamazoo School Board and Past Vice Mayor of the Kalamazoo City Commission. In May 1944, he was united in marriage to Idean (BIRKHOLD) TRIESTRAM who survives. HUSTED - Venice FL, Formerly of Kalamazoo, MI, died May 2, 1997. He was born December 27, 1918 in Oshtemo, MI and came to Venice 12 years ago from Kalamazoo, MI. He was a Navy Veteran of WW II, a life member of the American Legion and a member of Elks Lodge #2378 Englewood, FL. He retired from the Postal Service in 1972. Survivors include his wife, Della M.; two sons, Thomas R. and wife Anne of Rowlett, Texas, and Michael A. and granddaughter Shannon of Kalamazoo; two brothers, John of Venice and Glenn of Kalamazoo; a sister, Margaret LEVERTON of Venice. A brother, Richard preceded him in death. There will be no visitation. Services will be announced. National Cremation Society, Sarasota Chapter is in charge. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1200 S. HUTT - Kalamazoo, MI, passed away Tuesday evening, April 29, 1997. Mrs. HUTT was born September 1, 1908 in Chicago, Illinois, a daughter of Thomas and Sophia (JACOBSON) STORR. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident, and was a member of the Borgess Service League. She was preceded in death by her first husband, LeRoy G. PHILLIPS; her second husband, Dr. Ralph W. SHOOK; and her third husband, Henry T. HUTT on November 8, 1990. She is survived by 2 daughters, Patricia BRADY of Florida, and Jacqueline (Timothy) PETERS of Kalamazoo; 5 grandchildren, Jane (Danny) SCHUUR, Thomas (Susan) BRADY, Joseph BRADY, Timothy (Sandra) PETERS II, and Ann (Vincent) HAAG; 6 great-grandchildren; a special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Red and Elizabeth OLSON and family; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be held 11 o'clock Friday in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mattawan, with the Rev. Dr. Charles Cohagen, Pastor of the First Congregational Church ! of Mattawan, officiating. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes Memorial Chapel 622 S. Mrs. WELSH was born January 29, 1918 in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin the daughter of Gla and Julia FULLER. She resided in the Oak Brook Mobile Home Park, Portage from 1991 until moving to Florida in 1996. She was a former member of the Hope Reformed Church and Loved the Lord. Surviving are her husband, William, whom she married September 17, 1938; one daughter, Jane (Dale) WOOD of Carmel, IN; one son, David (Theresa) WELSH of Ferndale, MI; four grandchildren; one sister, Joyce (James) CLEMENT of Titusville, FL; two brothers, Dean (Doris) FULLER of Gobles, Bruce FULLER of Venice, FL.
