I am sorry I can't help you with his NY family. I was given information from Maryann Beckwith regarding sister Mary Ann Simmons Webster, Cummings. There is a Seth Simmons born about 1792 listed in 1850 Moturary Schedule in Allen Twp., Hillsdale Co., MI and then I found an Elizabeth Simmons living with above mentioned Mary Ann Cummings in the 1860 Allen Twp., Hillsdale Co., Mi census. Elizabeth is not found in gendis and she does not appear in the 1870 census as far as I can tell, so she may have died prior to the 1870 census. This has been a difficult part of the Simmon to track down - I appreciate your look up offer. If you can make any sense out of this or want clearer information feel free to email me. BTW I got carried away with my greats in my previous post - Seth W. is our gg grandfather. Also, have photo of Sarah Gilson Simmon's grave if you are interested.
