I must have missed your post request for lookup help. I can't help at this time, but contact the Kalamazoo Public Library with your names. They will get the obituaries for you from their microfiche records, at a very nominal cost. http://www.kpl.gov/collections/LocalHistory/genealogy/GenealogyBasicSources.aspx Also, you could try the website for Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness - www.raogk.org. Several people are listed who will do lookups when they can. Kalamazoo Valley Genealogical Society is another resource. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mikvgs/ Good luck, Maryann Root Augusta, MI

So far all I have seen is 40-50 obituary posts and still no one to help me get a few from the local papers, even with a pre payment offer. Neither the Kalamazoo Public Library system nor the State library system have the film to loan! With 238000 people living in Kalamazoo county you would think it an easy request. Since driving the 800 miles is not going to happen .. Anyone have any ideas of how to get these? Hi Scottie! Your best help would be the Kalamazoo Library null. They have a good index of articles and obituaries from the Kalamazoo paper. You can request obituaries for a minimal cost with a good response time. They are very helpful - I have used them for quite a few years.
