Age 82 Of Winslow, IN Died at 2:15 PM, Thursday, March 13, 2008 at his residence in Winslow. He was born on December 17, 1925 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Theodore G. and Suzanne Marie (DeRysher) Boehm. Theodore grew up in Kalamazoo and resided for many years in Richland Township where he was a member of the former Comstock United Methodist Church and Moose Lodge #648 and where he enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking. He retired from the Georgia Pacific paper mill where he was employed for 42 years. His first wife, Genevieve (Burlingham) Boehm, preceded him in death on May 13, 1997. Several years later he was united in marriage to Juanita (maiden name: Potter) on March 31, 2002 at the Gospel Center in Petersburg, Indiana. He is survived by his wife, Juanita Boehm, Winslow, IN; four sons, Theodore "Gus" Boehm, Grand Junction, Michigan, Paul Boehm, Osceola, Missouri, Ronald L. Boehm, Kalamazoo, Michigan, Danard M. Boehm, Deepwater, Missouri; Two daughters, Barbra M. Ricks, Tipton, Georgia, Brenda! M. Brodie, Kalamazoo, Michigan; Three step-children, Christie McLaughlin, Petersburg, IN, Sarah Jane Stamper, Ireland, IN, Allen Lehmkuhler, Graysville, Tennessee; 17 grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 25 step-great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. A public memorial service for Theodore Boehm will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, March 28th at the Comstock Church of God in Comstock, Michigan. Age 69 years. The daughter of the late Thomas and Maxine (Stoddard) Bishop, Kay was born October 3, 1938 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She married Kenneth Teske on August 25, 1956. He survives her. Kay enjoyed spending time with her family, decorating, crafts and gardening. She will be greatly missed. Surviving besides her husband Ken are four children, Bruce Teske, Saginaw, Sue (Mark) Nyeste, Brunswick, Georgia, Nancy (Don) Montalbano, Saginaw, Patti (Joe) Lesage, Saginaw; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Funeral service will take place 12:30 PM Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., in Saginaw. Rev. Douglas Kahl will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Tuesday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 11:30 AM until time! of service. Roberta was born November 14, 1929 in Clarksdale, Mississippi, the daughter of Will and Georgia Thomas. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and was a member and Stewardess of Allen Chapel AME Church in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Roberta retired from Bronson Hospital after over thirty seven years of nursing, where she went above and beyond the call of duty in helping people. Roberta leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Nathaniel (Carol) Owens of Kalamazoo, MI and Edgar (Molly) Ferguson III of Chicago, IL; her two daughters, Debra and Virgie Ferguson, of Kalamazoo, MI; her two sisters, Jesse Mae Carver and Beatrice Jones; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Amy Pear of Chicago, IL and Ray Abbey of Clarkdale, Miss; one uncle, Jess Smith of Kalamazoo; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. On November 19, 1949, he was united in marriage to Barbara Schell. From this union they had one daughter, Toni Ann. Forrest retired from James River Corp. in October of 1990 after 38 years of service. Forrest served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was recalled during the Korean Conflict. After retiring, he and Barbara spent their winters in Mission, TX, moving there permanently in 2001. Forrest loved working in his workworking shop making gifts for others. Survivors include his wife, Barbara of almost 59 years; two grandchildren, Troy and Nikki; three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Forrest was preceded in death by his daughter, Toni Ann, in 1990; oldest granddaughter, Echol "Echo", in 1992; his parents; seven brothers and two sisters. Born March 1, 1915, she was the third of five children to Richard D. and Hattie Belle Dunham of Bowie, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Jim, Fay, Glenna and Rita. In 1940, Laverne married Carlton Smith, an electrical engineer. After the war in 1946, they relocated with their children to Parchment, Michigan. Carlton died February 4, 1973. Laverne is survived by her two sons, Kenneth Wayne Smith and Dale (Sharon) Lynn Smith; four grandchildren, Scott (Amy) Kimberly (Brian), Steven (Mychelle), Heather and six great-grandchildren, Forrest, Hayden, Autumn, Alexia, Macready, Molly; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Laverne was particularly fond of visits from the neighborhood children and for generations entertained youth in her home with mountains of cookies and uncritical friendship. A surprising percentage of boys and girls in Parchment developed knitting and croche! t skills. It was important to Laverne she reside in her own home these past few years and her family would like to express gratitude to Irene Savoie, Senior Services, MI Choice Program, and Hospice for their assistance in helping her to do so. Joe was born in Kalamazoo, Feb. 6, 1933, the son of Jacob & Trina (Venhuis) Emaar. He was a graduate of Kalamazoo Christian High School where he excelled in sports and received a degree in Physical Education at WMU where he also excelled in baseball. He was in ROTC at WMU and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Era. His baseball career continued throughout his military service and in the years following with the Pittsburgh Pirates Minor League and various local leagues. He was also an avid golfer, racquetball and paddleball player, bowler and fisherman. He was a former member of First Christian Reformed Church where he sang in the choir and was a member of a male quartet. He and his twin brother, Butch, sang gospel music together for many years at various local churches, nursing homes and funerals and recorded a CD of their favorite gospel songs. Joe was employed as a real estate salesman for 40 yea! rs. On Oct. 3, 1963, he married Shirley J. Campbell, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Kim (Steve) Finup and Amie Tiller, both of Kalamazoo; three grandchildren, Tyler Finup, Kaylee and Logan Tiller; his twin brother, Duane "Butch" (April) Emaar of Kalamazoo; two sisters, Dena Emaar of Kalamazoo and Elizabeth "Betty" Smith of Parchment; sister-in-law, Sally Emaar of Paw Paw; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Donald J., Jack J. and Dowlen A. Emaar. Friends will be received at the funeral home Thursday evening where the family will be present from 6 to 8 PM. Private interment will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery with military honors. They celebrated 50 years of marriage in 1993. Shirley passed away November 27, 1994. Surviving are two daughters, Sharon Summerville and Sandra (Dick) Cooey, both of Florida; two sons, Robert (Lois) Summerville, of Paw Paw and Randy (Carol) of Gobles. (Thaxton) Crawford. Following graduation from Kalamazoo Public Schools, Kay was employed at Ingersol and Kal Blue Print. On July 22, 1966, she was united in marriage to Thomas Wilder. She was co-owner and operated the Parchment Yard N Garden in Parchment with her husband, Thomas. Kay enjoyed winter bowing, fishing and traveling with her husband, anywhere the big trucks would go. Kay is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Gwendolyn First. Kay is survived by her husband, Thomas, to whom she was married for 41 years; a daughter, Debbie Cherry; a granddaughter, Nichole Cherry; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, March 30, 2008 from 2-5 PM at the PARCHMENT-REDMOND Funeral Home 2300 East G Ave-343-7735 where a Rosary will be recited at 4:30 PM. Of Kalamazoo Passed away March 27, 2008 after a brief illness. John was born March 27, 1930 in Grand Rapids, MI, the son of John J. Stora and Marion (Niedzwiecki) Hall and had lived in the Kalamazoo area since 1965. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was employed for 37 years for the Michigan Liquor Control Commission where he served for several years as deputy director of licensing and enforcement. John received his Bachelors Degree in accounting from Aquinas College. He was a member of the Wayland V.F.W. Post and a founding member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. John was preceded in death by his first wife, Dolores Stora and his parents. On November 1, 2003, he married Betty Wyant, who survives. Bill enjoyed many sports, played baseball, billiards, cards and had a passion for playing golf. On July 31, 1982, he was united in marriage to Geraldine Markus, who survives.
