Here is a link to the photo's I took of the Mowl's & related families. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~graveyards/kalamazoocems.html I also submitted them to this site but they are not online on this one yet but it should only be a day or two. http://usgwtombstones.org/michigan/kalamazoo.htm Mr's James Mowl is buried in lot 257 which is on the North inside drive, I have a map online also. Robert Mowl is in lot 240 one row West of Mr's James Mowl & Samuel & related families are in 367 & 368. These are all close together in Section A. The records say no headstone for her. Cooper Center is just a 4 corners & Cooper Twp. hall is right there next to the fire station on D. Avenue. I looked in Isabella Co. & found the transcriptions & Ida/Mary isn't buried with the Mowl's there either. I cannot find a marriage for her. 2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: ck761 Surnames: Duemler Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.michigan.counties.kalamazoo/25861/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I'm looking for someone to be kind enough to clip out the obituary of my great aunt Arlene Hugmeyer Duemler who died this morning in Portage. The obituary is already on the funeral home website but I would like a clipping of the original for my family scrapbook. I would appreciate anyone doing this for me. Thank you DUEMLER, Arlene June Arlene was born in Grand Rapids on February 28, 1931 to Hilda and Marvin Hugmeyer, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded by two brothers, Verne and Marv and a granddaughter, Jennifer Lambert. On April 7, 1947, Arlene married Kenneth H. Duemler, who has been and continues to be her protector. Arlene is also survived by their 7 children, Irene, Paul, Therese (Kevin), Mary, Steve (Sue), James (Bridget) and David. There are also 18 very caring grandchildren who adore their grandmother, Catherine (Tom), John (Becky), Tina (Cory), Melissa (Jason), Angela (Brent), Kevin II (Amy), Travis (Brooke), Jennifer, Matt, Christopher and Gabriel. Also added to the family are 14 very precious great grandchildren, CJ, Jacob, Morgan, Hannah, Emma, Ryan, Taylor, Morgan, Kevin III, Luke, Conner, Peyton, a new baby due in September and 1 adopted angel in waiting. She is also survived by her sisters, Margaret and Shirley (Dave); sister-in-law, Sharon; brother-in-law, Fred (Joann). There ! are also several special nieces and nephews. Mom loved her family, everything in the world centered around her family. She was our confidant, sounding board, champion and cheer leader with a marvelous sense of humor. Mom loved to cook and would be the first one to fix a meal if someone did not feel good or she thought she could help out. And when she saw a need, she filled it. She always had a plan and urged us to complete our many tasks. Filling her wishes became our joy. Arlene/Wife/Mom/Grandma/Sister/Aunt will be missed but she will always be close to us in our hearts. She has given each of us a gift and shown us family is the most important thing in life. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 AM in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 1150 W. Centre Ave., with Rev. Fr. Chris Ankley and Rev. Fr. John Fleckenstein, Celebrants. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5-8 PM in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave! ., where a Rosary Service will be recited at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowe rs, memorials to the Bronson Hospital Neo-Natal Department would be appreciated. May I ask how well you know the West Cooper Cemetery? Would you know the approximate area where Mrs. James Mowl is buried? We couldn't find a headstone either, and I believe the records indicate there wasn't one. Was Cooper always called Cooper back like in 1870's? It's in Cooper Township also? I thank you for your help I do greatly appreciate it. karond_1 Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
