No, I haven't seen the 1881 History of Jackson county, although I think it's probably available at the Bentley and I will look for it there. My James Pierce is James Pieronnet Pierce who was born in Pennsylvania to a Henry Miller Pierce, but I think there are many related Pierces in New York. I will also get to the Ann Arbor branch of the Family History library and check out the film on Jackson marriages. Thanks for the responses! Santa Traugott
