Jackson Citizen Patriot, Sunday, March 17, 1918 George Chessman George Cheesman died suddenly Saturday afternoon at his home, 828 John street. He had been in poor health for yers. He was formerly a miner, but thirty years ago met with a serious accident which prevented hard labor since. There survive him a wife, brother and sister, Robert Cheesman and Mrs. Hollan of Saginaw, a brother, Wm. Cheesman of Grand Ledge and a brother and sister in England. The Jackson city directory does not show Anna Cheesmond after 1918, so she must have gone to live with someone else. In the 1917 directory, there is a Melvin R. Cheesemond who rooms at 128 W. Wilkins and is employed as a forman Mich State Tel Co. In the 1896 Jackson City Directory it lists Mary Cheesmond, widow of Robert, moved to Grand Ledge, Mi. Hope this is of some help to you.
