Born in 1926 in Perrinton, MI to Hugh and Beulah (Gray) Payne. Dona is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Lawrence Grubaugh; daughter, Yvonne (David) Smith of Sister Lakes, MI; son, Michael Grubaugh of Grand Rapids, MI; three grandchildren, Jessica (Kevin) Bell, Heather Smith and Jason Smith; sister, Bonnie (Stanley) Lutz; brother, Wayland (Zelma) Payne. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Linda Grubaugh; brother, Winton Payne. Dona graduated from Fulton High School, attended Chicago Evangelistic Institute. She worked a short time at Michigan State University and later at Whirpool in Benton Harbor. For 36 years, Dona served alongside her husband, Larry, while he was a Pastor in the West Michigan Conference of the United Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother grandmother, sister and friend. Relationships were the most important aspect of her life, h! er devotion to the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, being of the utmost importance and thereby enriching all of her earthly relationships. Per her wishes, Dona has donated her body to the University of Michigan Anatomical Donation Program. A memorial service will be held at the Galesburg United Methodist Church in Galesburg, MI, Sunday, December 19, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Donald Wendell officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mission Society for United Methodists, P. O. Box 1103, Decatur, Georgia 30031-1103 or the Wycliffe Bible Translators, P. O.
