    3. Hi Steve and Jackson County List Where would be the best places to look for Birth Record from 1856? We will be passing though Michigan early April, I want to stop in Jackson for a few hours for research, I want to find My Great-Grandfather's Birth Records, HIRAM C. CARPENTER 12 June 1856 Parma, Spring Arbor Twp., Jackson County, Michigan Son of Nathan Millington Carpenter and Amanda Welch County Clerk office?. Library? What Chuch's in Spring Arbor, Parma, would be best to check, that would have records back to 1856 I would guess either Presbyterian or Methodist Church? "I found the Nathan Carpenter , with wife Amanda , Sons Nelson 5 and Hiram 4, daughters Agnes 2 and Dorcus 1, on the 1860 Michigan Census, 25, August, Inhabitants in Spring Arbor, Post office, Parma, Page No. 168, 517 Line 29, Ancestry.com Image # 25" Thanks!! Appreciate any help or suggestions. Regards Iris irislm@kc.rr.com
