My Charles emigrated to the US in 1845 from Finchingfield, Essex, England. I believe that his father's name was Thomas and his mother's name was Mary. I hope to know more information soon, as I have sent for his birth records and they should be coming soon. Many people did move back and forth from Michigan, Canada, and NY in the mid-19th century, so it is possible that they may have married in Michigan, moved to Canada and back, etc. If I find a link in my materials, I will post it here for you.
