My Nathan(iel) was born in NY between ~1820. I also have the Lafayette Delamater & the Phil Delamarter references also. To my best guess, my Nathan was the son of Stephen Delamater who resided in Madison County, NY until ~1850. I know that Nathan married Laura Owen 1/1/1840, at the bride's home in Sullivan, Madison County, NY. Nathan, Laura, and at least 2 daughters moved to Auburn, Fond du Lac County, WI ~1847. I am looking to prove Nathan is the son of Stephen Delamater.

    2. Bryan, The Library of Michigan has directories for Jackson as well as other Michigan cities. I don't know how far back the ones from Jackson go. I believe that the Jackson Library has some too. I know that I have seen Jackson directories for the late 1880's but am not sure which library I found them in. It would have been either Library of Michigan or Jackson Library. Pat
