Carole Thanks for your reply and the question! I haven't applied for Nathan Millington Carpenter civil war records. I do have the information, but not the records. I found the info on his tombstone in Mercer County, Illinois I'm not sure how/where to order or how much? It's a wonderful site and very easy to use. You can post pictures of the people, grave stones and put in information about birth ect. It also has a great search engine that will look for married name plus maiden name. So if you know the maiden name for a woman, please include it. I got my copy from the Jackson Geneology Society which printed up a patch. If you give me a list of names, I'd be happy to check the index, although I have found that sometimes someone is mentioned in the book but missing from the index.

So it is another 5 or 6 miles to Parma from there I believe. Many of the other family connections are buried in the Dearing Cemetary. Thanks again. Where do you suggest I post pictures? Find a Grave ??? on the Jackson site? Do you know if there has been any new printings of History and Biography Jackson Co. books for sale??? I
