If they were from Jackson, I would suggest looking for records at either St Joseph Church, on Waterloo St, Jackson or St Stanislaus, on Elm St, Jsckson. These are both Polish Parishes and the records may be in Polish. If not from this area try the parishes near where they were for the census of the time.

Now my mother, Florence Clara Colton (now Florence Marian VanLinder Gibbs Conover) wishes to learn the whereabouts of her birth brother Fayette. He was adopted August 1922 in Alpena County at the age of 5-1/2. His birth is Sept. 10, 1916 in Kalamazoo, MIchigan. At adoption he was given a completely new name. He is the final piece of the puzzle for my mother who is 86 years old. If alive he would be 87 years old.
