In the 1880 census they are married with 4 children. The oldest was 5 and the youngest (my grandfather) was 2 months.They were in Grass Lake. It is possible that Ellen's maiden name was Donovan. The Berry headstones I found were, Edgar W. Berry 1839-1907; Melissa M. Berry 1851-1931; Francis R. Berry USMS 1899-1943; Newman C. Berry 1873-1909; Minnie M. Berry 1890-1899; and Ralph s/o EW & MM Berry 1880-1896. These graves were in about the tenth row in from the road to the left of the first drive from the south. Behind them was a bush and maple tree. They were all in a row. There were one or two more that I couldn't read. This confirms that you are on the right track. Happy hunting!
