    1. St Joseph Cemetery Church
    2. TONY DEMET
    3. Hi everyone, Suggestion for those listing looking for more information on family that have many buried in ST. Joseph Cemetery. What about contacting St. Joseph Church and seeing if they would be kind to maybe check their records for confirmation, marriages, death, baptismals etc... I would think if you didn't overwelm them, they might be able to help or put you into the right direction. Another great place to find missing children sometimes besides the census is Probate Records. If a Probate was filed after a death there could be a list of those whom are descendents, current names and addresses. Just thought I would pass this along in hopes it might help you all. Doris

    2. TONY DEMET
    3. The following is a list of marriage announcements that appears in the Arenac County Independent - covering like stated before Arenac, some of Bay, Ogemaw and Iosco Counties... The following is the name of the bride and groom and the date or the NEWSPAPER they appeared in... If I was able to extract of date of marriage then I will note it. Please beware these marriage might not have taken place in Arenac Co or even the State of Michigan..but this might get someone closer to their goal in obtaining the information. Again like the obits I just listed you can obtain copies thru Inter-Library Loan, see your local librarian... All of the following is from the year 1963, the date of the paper will be listed Sharon VanWert to Raymond Skrabut Sept 18th issue Janet Johanna Allen to Charles William Torres Sept 18th issue Sept 7th wedding date Rita Ann Berthiaume to Larry Revord Oct 9th Issue Rita Kurowski to Peter L Fryzel Oct 9th issue Donna Guest to Dennis Chrivia Oct 16th issue - wedding to be Oct 19th Patricia Wales to Jerry Baker Oct 19 Issue Edeth Lynn Lucia to James Michael White Nov 6th issue Sandra Kay Seder to John Isaac Aug 7th Issue wedding on June 22 Geraldine Willett to Dwayne Ulman Aug 14th issue Janet Kowalczyk to Alex Zawacki Aug 21st issue Mary Theresa O'Keef to Thomas Richard Berry Aug 21st issue Nancy Carol Burth to Couglas Eugene Kraatz Aug 28th issue wedding Aug 10th Kathleen Ellen Peppel to Don A Morris Sept 4th issue Marilyn Joyce Tulloch to John A Morgan Sept 4th issue wedding on Aug 24th Devere Albrecht to ( Female) Lutze Sept 4th issue Vivian Laughton to David Martin Aug 7th issue wedding on July 20th Jolene Berquist to Davide Christler Aug 7th issue Ruth Marie Berry to George Waters Nov 6 issue Caroline Keltner to Harvey Badour Dec 25 issue Doris!

    1. Obit index for a few month :-)
    2. TONY DEMET
    3. The following appeared in the "ARENAC COUNTY INDEPENDENT" newspaper. which happen to cover Arenac Co, some of Bay Co, Ogemaw Co and Iosco Co... The dates of this particular microfilm is from June 30, 1954 - Aug 2, 1972... Please keep in mind that the microfilm does NOT carry every issue of the Arenac County Independent on this film for those above days - they were only able to microfilm what was available to them at the time...so there is issues missing... I was unable to make copies of these obits myself do to the time limit that I was able to have them here in WI and my personal time... but hopefully the following will be helpful to you. Please keep in mind, just because the obituary / death notice appeared in the Arenac County Independent Newspaper doesn't necessarily mean that the person died in Arenac County... The microfilm for this set of obituaries and other dates are available thru Inter-Library loan from the State Library of Michigan or Clark Historical Library. Check with your local library for help, even if you live in a small area you should be able to get copies of these articles or borrow the microf! ilm itself... I did :-) Hope the following is helpful to some of you on these list.... For those I was able to make copies of, I"ll be listing them separately later today or tomarrow....
