    3. Hello Everyone: Is anyone subscribed to this list searching or perhaps descends from: Hiram Hogle who was born in 1805 in Vergennes Twp, Genesee Co, NY, and died July, 1872 at Niles, Trumbull Co, Ohio. He married (l) his first cousin Elizabeth Hogle in 1832. She was born in 1816 in Vergennes Twp, Genessee Co, NY, and died in 1860. Correspondence with John T. Hogle of Fayettville, Arkansas, says that Hiram Hogle was married (2) Catherine Riter, June 4, 1861, in Trumbull Co, Ohio, born about 1816; married (3) Jane Brown November 17, 1866 in Trumbull Co, Ohio, born about 1815). I found in Liber C, page 31, Ionia County Marriage Records that on March 20, 1869, in Saranac, Ionia Co, MI, Hiram Hogle married what I thought was a second wife but according to John Hogle this would be wife number (4) Caroline Stillwell, both of them lived in Campbell, Ionia Co, MI. Hiram is age 64 and says that he was born in "Mapleton, Saratoga Co, NY". I have never found a town of Mapleton in Saratoga Co, NY. Caroline was age 51 at the time of her marriage to Hiram and states she was born in Vermont. My mother-in-law, Margaret, who is now age 91, remembers that as a child she attended Hogle family reunions held in Clarksville. She also remembers attending the Hogle reunion after she was married. I have located an article in the Ionia County, MI, newspaper, The Daily Sentinel, dated August 16, 1934, page 3 this article: "The Hogle family reunion was held at Mr. and Mrs. Charles Decker's. From away were William Barnes and family; Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Hood and son John, Joliet, Ill; Nellie Wells, Cleveland, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Rodgers and son, Detroit; Tom _____, Warren, Ohio; MRS. JOHN CRISMORE (MY MOTHER-IN-LAW'S MOTHER) and MR. AND MRS. B. C. BISHOP OF GRAND LEDGE (MY FATHER-IN-LAW AND MOTHER-IN-LAW); Mr. and Mrs. Phil Norton of Big Rapids; R. G. Spence and family of Owosso." And Margaret very distinctly remembers Roxy Hogle Hood and Otis Hogle, two of the children of Hiram Hogle. She also remembers the name Doc Scoville. (Martha J. Hogle, daughter of Hiram Hogle, married Leroy A. Scoville and they had a son, Glen H. Scoville born about 1875, who became a doctor.) Recently my mother-in-law moved into a retirement center and in all the turmoil of moving, we found a Hogle family picture which had been inherited from her mother. Among the 17 people in the picture was Otis Hogle and his sister Roxy (Hogle) Hood, along with Emma (Hood) Dildine (Margaret does not remember Emma (Hood) Dildine.) In a family letter, dated August 11, 1913, that was written by Margaret's grandmother, Margaret Elizabeth Hogle Upton Guernsey, reference is made to "the 26th Hogle family reunion that is to be held in Ohio". Does anyone know where that might have been held? In another letter dated June 13, 1915, Margaret Elizabeth Hogle Upton Guernsey states, "I got a letter from Mrs. Dildine from Clarksville (this would be MI) last week. She said the folks there were all well. Otis (this would be Otis Hogle) had a poor spell a short time ago." Margaret Elizabeth Hogle Upton Guernsey's parents were Robert and Cynthia (Reynolds) Hogle who came to MI about 1850. Cynthia died about 1854 and Robert died in 1872, Campbell Twp, Ionia County, MI, near where some of the Hiram Hogle children owned residences. I cannot make a connection between my Robert Hogle and the family of Hiram Hogle. The Hiram Hogle family can be traced back quite far - and while I am 99% postive Robert Hogle is a relative of Hiram, I don't know how he connects. Can anyone help me? Gerri bish57@acd.net
