I am new to the list and need help. Does anyone on the list have information about Emra B. Brooks and family? My family members reports that he moved to Ionia Co. about 1925 from Cowley Co., Kansas with his wife, name unknown, and children Wendell, Waldo and Evelyn. He was living in Ionia County when his mother died in 1944 in Ks. I find 3 Brooks surnames that are buried in the Balcom Cemetery. They are: Emma Brooks d 9/11/1953 age 84; Brooks, Emma or Emra d 1958(no exact date given) and Brooks, Mildred d 7/27/1966 age 83. There is a divorce record for a Joyce & Wendell Brooks filed in 1960 case #11789 in Ionia Co. I posses the obit for Waldo Brooks who died in 1976 in Haslett, MI but no mention about his parents although it gives information about his brother Wendell and sister Evelyn. What is the procedure to locate these obituaries, death records, etc in the area? Thanks for any help in advance. Ralph Biddle from OK
