Hi Everyone! This is a little tidbit that was just brought to our attention at the meeting of the Ionia Co. Genealogical Society on Saturday, January 13, 2001. The Hall Fowler Library in Ionia has just been informed that the Sentinel Standard has decided to discontinue to pay for the micofilming of the paper. What it boils down to is in order to maintain our collection of film, the Library will have to pay $600 annually. We have one donation of $100 annually from the Historical Society, and hope that the Genealogical Society members or any other researchers interested in the Sentinel Standard resouces, may choose to also make a donation toward this service. This is one of the great resources that a genealogist can use, so if you would be interested please send your contributions to: Heidi Nagel Hall-Fowler Memorial Library 126 East Main Street Ionia, Michigan 48846 Make sure you note with this contribution that it is specifically for the microfilm donation. or e-mail for any questions: Heidi Nagel ionhn@lakeland.lib.mi.us Library Phone Numbers Voice (616) 527-3680 Fax (616) 527-6210 Hours of Operation Mon - Thu 10:00am-8:00pm Fri 10:00am-6:00pm Sat 10:00am-5:00pm Now that we are in the season of taxes (!), it may help to note that all public library donations qualify for the Michigan Public Contribution Tax Credit and toward federal charitable deductions. Remeber even little contributions count! Thanks for your concideration, Teresa Leak Sweet V. P., Ionia Co. Genealogical Society, Ionia Co., MI Member of the Sebewa Assoc., Sebewa Twp.
