Mr. Parker was born Nov. 13, 1922, in Holland, the son of Clarence and Hazel (Kraai) Parker. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Delta Township, the Grand Ledge Masonic Lodge #179 F. & A.M. and the Lodge Council Chapter Consistery Scottish Rite Valley of Grand Rapids. He was veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Navy as a pilot; graduated from Michigan State University; and was aretired employee of Fisher Body after 35 years of service as a engineer. He loved sailing, having a boat in Holland for the past 24 years. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Joanne; three sons, Richard (Elizabeth) Parker of Holland, Charles (Paula) Parker of Grand Haven, and Dale (Karen) Parker of Ludinton; three grandchildren, Nathan, Hope, and Morgan; mother, Hazel Parker of Holland; two brothers, Jack (Polly) Parker of Elijay, Ga. and Jim (Helen) Parker of Holland; mother-in-law, Beverly (Paul) Notestine of Farmington and Janis (Dick) Crum of Williamston; broters-in-law, John (Kathy) Kools and Jime (Betty) Wojahn, both of Holland; and several nieces and nephews.
