He was born in Meaford, ONT in 1873. His parents were Lorenzo Dow and Sarah (Dewstow) Hallock. His parents along with Walter and brother Alfred Dow (my grandfather) moved to the Gratiot County area in the late 1800's. In 1899 our Hallock Family Bible notes that Walter was "killed" in Leslie, MI. leaving two young sons. Wife's name is unknown. Am searching for any information on Walter and family. If he was a resident of Leslie and particulars of the accident that he may have been involved in that led to his death. I thought perhaps something may be on file in Leslie. Or would appreciate suggestions as how to find our what I am searching for. Thank you. Bev - MI
