David L. Metz East Lansing Age 33, died March 14, 1978. Born June 17, 1944 in Evanston, Ill. Mr. Metz had been a resident of East Lansing for 14 years and was a graduate of MSU receiving his BS Degree and Masters Degree in Marketing. He was president of Professional Compensation Group, Inc. of East Lansing. Mr. Metz was past chairman of the MSU Basketball Bust; a member of the Ralph Young Development Fund Committee as well as the MSU Development Council. He was a member of the Presidents Club and an Honorary Coach of the Ralph Young Fund supporting MSU athletics. Surviving are his wife Linda Gene Batdorff; 1 brother Mike of Ann Arbor; mother Mrs. Marjorie Metz of Sawyer and father Gustav Metz of EauClaire and grandfather Art Nepsted of Iowa. Funeral services will be held Friday at 4 p.m. at the Gorsline Runciman East Chapel, East Lansing. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Wednesday. The family requests that contributions be made in memory of David L. Metz to the Ralph Young Fund, c/o MSU Development Fund, 1407 S. Harrison Rd., East Lansing 48824.
