Prior to that, I believe he had been in Grayling. Was he ever married; any family; when and where did he die??? I would think that this Thomas Nolan of Mich. had been born "about" 1843 or so, in Co. Wexford, Ireland to John and Anastasia Nolan. Shortly after 1845 Thomas and Jeremiah arrived in Canada "with their mother"; verbal history is that their father died during the crossing. In about 1851 (would have to look at my records); their mother married Owen O'Donnell and they settled in Drummond Co. near Perth, Ont. Both are buried there. A fellow by the name of "Jerry" Nolan, thought to be from Michigan, used to visit relatives in Perth, Ont. in the 1950's. Have photos of him. I also have a very old professional photo taken of two young boys in Grayling and can only assume that they must relate to the Thomas Nolan family. The son of my Jeremiah Nolan (John Nolan), left Canada about 1901 and eventually settled in Emmett, Mich. where his uncle, John MULLALLY lived. Would love to make a Nolan family connection in Michigan.
