I am trying to find out where the courts would have placed an infant if taken by the police over an eviction notice in 1946. The family says the baby boy was placed in an orphanage or foster care near the YMCA at that time. The YWCA was across the street I believe. The family lived in the 800 block of East Saginaw at the time. Also, where should I look for court records on this? Probate Court? This does sound unusual, but this fellow would like to know, as his family has kept it hush-hush over the years. I would appreciate any help at this time. Thank you. Gail
