Berger, 84, Maplewood Dr., Greenville, formerly of Lansing, died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1993, in United Memorial Hospital. She was born Aug. 23, 1909, in Greenville, the daughter of Rudolph and Mae Burgess Swartz. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Greenville, and the Esther Circle at the church. Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Ardyce Deason, Lansing; and Marcia and Gene Worthington, Augusta; one sister, Buelah Sokolowski, Muskegon Heights; one brother and sister-in-law, R.J. and Peg Swartz, Greenville; three grandchildren, Stephanie Covert, Lansing, Julie Wagar, Climax, and Gregory Worthington, Augusta. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex, in 1981. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Greenville First United Memorial Church, with the Rev. Harry Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens. The family will receive relatives and friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at Brown- Teman Funeral Home, Greenville. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Estes-Leadley Funeral Home, Lansing. Chapel services will be at 2 p.m. at Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Greenville.
