Also glad you pointed out that mistake! Must have been in a hurry at the time. William A. was Charles Vernon's father of course. I would be very interested in your pictures and more info on your line. I spent a lot of time years back trying to figure out what happened to Sarah Louisa trying to help a cousin from the Eliza Ewers and Charles V. Havens line. Have you corresponded with Robin Floyd? She is a descendant of William A. Havens Jr., a brother of Charles V. and Sarah L. my e-mail is still wimcheryl@voyager.net

    3. I'm trying to track down the parents and siblings of my g-g-grandmother, Maria C. (Clark) Weeks, first wife of Stephen Weeks (who was b. 10 Jan 1820, Henrietta, Monroe Co., NY; d. 16 Dec 1888, Leslie, Ingham Co., MI; son of Benjamin Weeks/Wicks and his wife, Maria Ann Whitney). My current understanding is that Maria married Stephen Weeks, 26 Sep 1843, in or near Leslie, Ingham Co., Michigan. The scant information I have says she was a "...Michigan girl." Stephen Weeks and his brothers, William Henry Weeks and George Washington Weeks, purchased large tracts of undeveloped land in Leslie Twp, 1843. Stephen had the southeast 1/4 section of Section 19 (now the northwest corner of Bellevue and Blackmore Rds.). Years ago, his house and outbuildings were sold and removed to other properties. The house with additions sits on the west side of Waverly Rd., close to Plains Rd. William's 1/8 section of Section 19 bordered the west side of Stephen's property. His house is still where it was built on the north side of Bellevue Rd., and is designated a historical structure. George's 1/8 section of Section 30 is on the south side of Bellevue Rd., directly across from William's property. The Weeks School, which still stands on the southwest corner of Bellevue and Blackmore Rds., was started by the three brothers --- each of whom taught there. All three brothers were Baptists and probably founding members of the Baptist Church at Leslie. Maria's husband, Stephen, was a deacon for over 40 years. All three brothers are buried with their families at Woodlawn Cemetery, Leslie. This includes Maria C. (Clark) Weeks who d. 1 Jul 1862, Leslie Twp., Ingham Co., MI. I would dearly love to find out who Maria's parents and siblings were, and where she was born. The date and place of birth that I currently have is 10 May 1823, Auburn, Cayuga Co., NY; but I haven't been able to tie her to any of the Clark families in that area at that time.
