Lansing A lifelong resident of Lansing, Mrs. Serr was born July 4, 1931 in Homer; died January 26, 2000 at the age of 68. She coached Little League Baseball in Lansing for 27 years. Mrs. Serr was past Matron of the Dimondale O.E.S. #363 and past Senior Regent of the Lansing chapter #116 Women of the Moose. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, George R.; 1 daughter Reta (Bill) Alexander of Lansing; 2 sons, Kenneth J. of Rodney and Randy K. (Diane) of Potterville; 7 beloved grandchildren, Seth, Casey, Shelby, Clinton, Trisha, Nikki, and Adam; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, William Hoffmeyer of Holland, J.G. Hoffmeyer and 1 sister, Shirley Maybee both of Lansing. Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 31, at 12 noon at the Gorsline-Runciman Co. Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Avenue, Lansing. Interment will follow in Glendale Cemetery, Okemos. The family will receive friends at the Chapel on Sunday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Special services will be provided by the Dimonda! le O.E.S. #363 on Sunday, 2 p.m. and the Lansing Chapter #116 Women of the Moose on Monday.
