Rich grew up in Portage, MI, and resided in Okemos, MI. He was a truly remarkable husband, father, son, brother and friend to all he met. Rich had a successful career, but his children and family were the center of his life. He enjoyed every minute of being a dad and his children adored him. His friendship was a gift. His sense of loyalty, his sense of humor and his love of life were his legacy to us. We are all better people for having had the blessing of having him in our lives. His children, Annie, Maddie, Danny and Charlie, as well as his wife, Margie, his mom, Barbara, and his entire extended family will miss him forever. May God bless him always. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 9, at 10 a.m. at St. Martha Parish, 1100 W. Grand River Ave., Okemos, with the Rev. Jonathan Wehrle, Celebrant. The Rite of Committal will be held in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lansing. Th! e family will receive friends at the Gorsline-Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing, on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday from 2-8 p.m., where the Rosary will be prayed Friday at 7:30 p.m. The family will also receive friends at the Church on Saturday one hour prior to the service.
